17MACH2 Ready for squirells!

The ole 17MACH2 is ready for Oct. tree rat season. I finished this one out with a WV. Plow-Handle grip with a flared top and a long Schnabel forearm made from Black Walnut. I still need to hit the range and check zero. And for those not shooting the 17MACH2 you are missing out. Now I wouldn't want to be without my 22L.R., but I do love the MACH2.

Depending on how you hold the contender a rifle scope can be used.

Yes it is a rifle scope, 3x9 Nikon Monarch. Works very well for me, bad on the tree rats! :o I also use a rifle scope on my Tender 22L.R.

I love the mach2. so little recoil you can certainly use a rifle scope with no black eye concerns.
It is my go to tree rat round.that and my 204 ruger(ha) ;D

the grips i am not great on but my mill i can make a really nice forend out of block of AL.

My grips and forearms are free handed. No milling machine or duplicator is used. I use a drill press for inletting, a router table for cutting forearm channels. After that I just start carving.

If Varmentor is correct and there is mild recoil, why the three scope rings? 8)

My guess is for cool factor.
Heck I know guys that spend 5X on a scope then they need because it has a sunshade and that makes it look better.

The other day I saw a guys TC that had five rings on it;  but it was a heavy recoiling barrel.  What ever makes your putter flutter! ::)

Why not three rings. After all it is a Redfield three ring base. Besides Varmentor is not correct on the mild recoil, :D actually there is no recoil. ;) Most my TC pistols have three to four rings no matter the caliber, I just like the way they look.

Makes perfect sense to me, to spend a little extra to make them the way you  like them. I like to think of my TC's being personalize for me. ;D Thats the cool thing about TC's, lots of ways to customize.

No, cant remember the name brand, but it is a cheapy. Works well for the money spent!
