Why are some calibers not listed on web site?
« on: September 20, 2009, 10:41:10 PM »
Just wondering why my gun is not listed on the website? How many other calibers do they offer that are not listed? I have what I belive is a Model 14 Euro classic chambered in .325wsm. It was purchased new about 1 year ago. Is this a gun they no longer sell? How would I find out when it was manufactured? Im just looking to find out a little bit of info on it. This is my first savage and I am very pleased with it.
What did you do today...for Freedom?
Today, at the front, he died...Today, what did you do? Next time you see a list of dead and wounded, ask yourself: "What have I done for freedom? What can I do tomorrow that will save the lives of men like this and help them win the war?"
Taken from WWII poster, still applies today.

Nice rifles they are, the short magnums have sort of fallen from favor, so it is probably not made this year.  The serial number will tell the age, but it could be several years old.  Larry

Ultra25-06,

I'm not sure about pre 2007 offerings (I have no pre-2007 catalogs), but according to the 2007, 2008, and 2009 Savage catalogs, the 325 WSM was only offered in 2008. But what's confusing is that the catalog lists its availability for only the 14 Classic and 14 American Classic. According to the catalog, in 2008, the Euros were only offered in 22-250, 243, 270, 308, and 30-06. I've heard however, that the Savage Custom Shop will make a rifle in any chambering for which they still have the reamers from discontinued chamberings.
