h+r parts department
« on: September 20, 2009, 01:10:03 AM »
can't believe it....needed a front sight, called the factory for part availability and to make sure the height was right, wrote a letter with part # and sight height i needed and included money order, mailed it off. After about 10 days i called to find out when they might ship...it took a full 2 weeks from when i mailed it for my order to "show" on their computer,at 3 weeks i got my "order"....this was a simple matter of reading an order and dropping the right part in a padded envelope(for which they charged 10 bucks shipping) and they got it wrong,wrong,wrong....wrong sight. Now i understand what you guys have gone thru with your barrel orders..if they can't read an order and get the right part from a parts bin. Fitting the right barrel to the right reciever and shipping it to the right person would surely be a monumental task for folks who can't get a parts order right, and charging 10 bucks for a small padded envelope is a rip off too. If they want 5 or 6 bucks more for the part they should be honest and charge that amount instead of scamming you on the shipping like that...i really like the guns but am not fond of the way they do business

That is too bad zoner. I surely hope that one of these days they will get their act together. I think we got spoiled with the excellent customer service we got from the folks in Massachusetts.

And to think we thought Marlin used to treated H&R like the Bast@*d stepson  :o I look forward to Remington straightening out the H&R devision :-\
I believe it will happen, but it may take some time. Still they have had about a year if I remember correctly.
