A recent thread on .357 twist rate made me curious, so I checked mine. It also checked at 1 in 15.5. While I was at it I thought that I'd check my .44 mag. It's one of the newer ones,synthetic stock on SB1 frame. Unless I did something wrong, several times, the twist in this barrel is around 1 in 19"
I checked by following the method found in stickies. I did both the whole twist (19"), as well as half twist (9 1/2") measurement.
How about others posting their results.
