Gunstocks Inc. Recoil Pad Fit???

Hi Guys-

I am wondering if anyone has experience trying to fit a Handi-rifle factory recoil pad to a new Gunstocks Inc. buttstock??

The guy at Gunstocks said he does not know if they would fit, but of course I could order one of their grind-to-fit pads...

Any help would be great - Thanks a lot - thinking of ordering a set of walnut, high rollover stocks for my .308 Survivor!

It might depend on which GSI wood you try it on.   I know the high roll-over cheek stock will not work with a factory H&R pad/plate(unmodified).

I have fit a number of grind to fits to a bunch of handis..both Gun Stocks stocks and H&R stocks...

Are you asking if a handi pad will fit a Gunstocks stock??  Short answer... NO. At least not and "fit" properly.

I've only had one GSI stock, an H&R pad would be way too small. If you haven't ordered the stock yet, have them fit one, you'd be hard pressed to buy a Limbsaver pad alone for much less than what they charge to include it fitted.  ;)
