Stick with the 1st shot

Back to the 44 while brass for 223 preps. Tried a new thought (watch out). I took some brass I shot through my 44 Handi. Cleaned and deprimed. (didn't resize) wondered about the brass and chamber fit. Kinda like neck sizing. Exact weight of each powder and bullet. Placed bullet on powder and crimped. Inconclusive results due to 3 extra cups of coffee, slight flinch, or just poor shooting. Knew I pulled the last one. Wished I could have it back. I will load some more and try it again with less coffee. The first shot of course is what I'm after. Want the others to follow. I know some will think I'm crazy And You're Right. But I still want to pop a ground hog at 200yds and think it wasn't just LUCK. Posted with target from the other day for comparison. Gonna have the first bench rest Handi! Hey- What else you want me to do with my time?

Hmmm....a 44Mag BR Go for it if you want it. Thats not bad bragging rights to hit a groundhog at 200 with a 44mag

Aaron, not bragging either, but IF your rifle will REACH 200 yards or more, you can hit a target there or beyond.  Ya just gotta know where the end of the rainbow lies, and that takes work.  I'm not trying to say everything will kill that far, but it can be hit if one labors at it.  There's no great satisfaction blasting beer cans at 200 with a .22-250, but it is a challenge to do it with a.44 or a .357.....and, it's fun.  When you're done shooting, you can put the guns away and create more targets.  Targets can also be used as shims......very versatile......ask Richard.
