Model 700 CDL SF in 308 Win.

A friend of mine at work is wanting to get a new 700 and he really wants to get the CDL SF. He is dead set on getting a rifle chambered for the 308 Win.
We looked in the 2009 Remington catalog and couldn't believe they didn't offer the CDL SF in 308, especially since they do offer it in 7mm-08.

I know some distributirs have special runs made and that some big stores such as Gander Mountain also have special guns made just for them.
Does anyone know if Remington makes the Model 700 CDL SF in 308 Win. as a special run for a distributor or a large store?

Your best site is to search the inventory on the gun auction sites.  Special runs will show up there.

I would nab one in that caliber without hesitation. Gorgeous rifle and my fav caliber = checking account balance drops  :D

If he just absolutely has to have it in .308 tell him to buy the 7mm-08 and have a gunsmith re-chamber and re-bore it to .308. ;D

He'd have twice as much invested in the gun, but he'd have exactly what he wanted. :D
