Transfer bar problems
« on: August 29, 2009, 03:47:47 AM »
I've only had my Handy in .223 since Feb 09 and it seems that the transfer bar is broken. I went to the range and when I cocked the hammer the bar flipped backwards and jammed the hammer in the cocked position. What do I need to do to get this fixed?

Welcome! Either replace it yourself or make arrangements with H&R to repair it, you can order the part from Brownell's or Numrich, see the FAQs.

I took it bake to the dealer I bought it from and they are goping to do the warranty repairs for me. I should have it back by the end of next week.

Got it back yesterday it looks in good order, but I'm taking it out tomorrow to see if all is well. Wish me luck.
