sorry to be so dumb , but how do                                                                                   i find the classifieds. 7x57 barrel, but would love to find a way to have it in 6.5x55

Welcome! They're just a few forums down the page from this one,  there are three of them. There are no 6.5x55 factory barrels, only way to get there is a custom rebore or a stub, see the FAQs and Help sticky.

Also, if I'm thinking right, you have to be logged in to be able to view the classifieds. Seeing as you registered just before posting the question I am assuming that is why you could not find it.  Log in and look again.

Thanks a lot. I would also like adefinition or description of a "stub" (6.5x55) as I have a machinist/designer who also does some gunsmithing.
