He apparently had some very solid appeals issues that were working their way through the courts. I'm not totally sure Scotish "justice" would have continued to hold him anyway. I've never really thought of the Scots as being soft. I have not seen all the evidence the prosecutors have so I will defer to their judgment.

Besides, I think he will be dead shortly anyway...

Prisoners die during incarceration all the time due to terminal illness. He was found guilty serving time as mandated by the Scottish court. If there was an appeal in process, so be it. If he was acquitted, then he could have been let out. This was the equivalent of a presidential pardon in Scotland and the grounds given where he was terminally sick and close to dying. A poor excuse. This was a political move by the Premier to gain favorability among the radical Islamist crowds and favors for Libyan oil, yet to come later.

Personally I would have let him rot in jail, fed him only Pork, and burried him wrapped in a pig skin face down. Gen. Black Jack Pershing found this to be most effective way to stop Jihad in the phillipenes.

While the Christians believe he is going to hell for killing innocent people (Murder) he and others see it as a trip to paradise and 72 virgins waiting for him for killing infadels (non-muslims) in a jihad (holly war). My fear is that these morons that are welcoming him as a hero will spawn more who will want to be holly warroirs and continue the Jihad inorder to get thier trip to paradise and fame.
Pork is a No no and will send them to hell. that is why Gen Pershing Killed a pig, wiped the bullets in pigs blood and shot terrorists then had them wrapped in pigs blood and skin and burried. Strait to hell (acording to thier religion) for them. No paradise, no milk and honey and no virgins. Stopped all attacks. We need to assert similar things with the terroists in Iraq, Afganistan, and other areas.
Scoop up the kills, soak in pigs blood, toss in Pulled pork scraps and bury publicly.
