We had venison tenderloin sauteed in butter and olive oil with leeks and mushrooms last evening, and your Pic still makes my mouth water.  Way to go! ;D  I still have till Oct 1 for bow and Nov. 15 for rifle.

If ya got any secrets about the AI, I'd love to hear em. :)  I have one that shot good with factory loads while fireforming, not sure how much to up the powder charges with the improved shape.  It's the only improved 30-30 I have the others are straight 30-30's.  I know you can add some powder to get the same pressure and some extra speed, and higher pressure for more speed.  This one was a 223 bored and rechambered to 30-30AI, (actually 7X30 Waters  8) chamber made in to a 30-30) so not a sloppy chamber at all.  I keep hearing about how "weak" the brass is, ??? but no reason it won't hold 48-50,000 psi, in the Handi.  With a tight chamber, no reason to worry aboout short case life, after all it's pretty easy to find more 30-30 brass. ;)  DP

What I did was fire form winchester brass with min charge H4895 with old 150 grain FMJ bullets seated to lands. Then measured my OAL and mine loves 30 thousanths off the lands. Started with min basic 30-30 load with 3031 and 125 NBT and worked up til got super small groups at 100 yards and also watching for pressure signs. Watched the fps also. Was only 125 fps over max standard 125 grain 30-30 load when I got to my best load and most accurate and brass lasts soo much longer and good looking primers and easy extraction.I will not tell yah my exact load, you gotta work em up in your own gun...I now have 3  30-30 AI guns. Sweet shooters but cant be made into something they aint. ;D ;D
