7x57 and a .50 cal
« on: August 16, 2009, 02:35:29 PM »
Gun broker has a 7x57 handy for sale with a unfired .50 cal barrel, I bid on it but I was kinda hoping someone else wants it more than me and out bids me. I want it and the .50 but I really shouldn't spend the dollars. Why do I always find something like this when I am a little close on funds? Life as a handyholic is rough sometimes. If I get it that will make 14 handies. :P

Oh BTW I'll also have to buy another reciever for the .50, Sheesh.  :o

Didn't see it there.I'm not gonna bid but its nice to window shop.

Ya know, when times are tough, things like this show up. The guys that have them need the money, and the guys who want em don't have the money. It's a beauty except for that silly rubber thing on the barrel.

The Sims Deresonator truly is ugly, but ya can't complain about their effectiveness, it worked for CW, oldguy65, cascadedad, Mac and a bunch of others here that have actually used them!!  ;)

Thirteen hours to go and its still mine, If I get it at my current bid it will cost me $415 total with FFL and shipping. While that's a lot of dollars I think truthfully the rare and desirable calibur with the unfired .50, deresonator, and scope it's a pretty fair deal.

Still not sure if I am hoping to get it or not. I know I'll prolly like it if I do. Sometimes I think drugs might be easier than handy rifles. ;D

Yep no one else bid on it, So I am now the proud owner of a couple more handy rifles. now that I've won the auction I can't wait to get it in my hands. I need to buy another frame for the muzzle loader. I think I can put that on a SB1 frame thou and maybe save a few dollars. If not another SB2 frame will show up. I have all my barrels on dedicated frames. 8)

Unfortunately no, I think all that info went away with Gardner. Mine's an NP= 2000, maybe we can compile our own year of mfr list at least!!  ;D
