Remington's DBM system SUCKS IMHO. There is no other way to put it. Look closely at the way the magazine latches to the action. It uses two plunger/buttons that lock two itty bitty pieces from the mag into the action, the recesses of which are in the middle of the mag well. This produces a stupid "teeter-totter" effect with loaded rounds in the mag. I have two of these rifles. One, a similar rifle to the one you inquire about, is a walnut stocked .270 DBM Mtn rifle. 99% of the time it works fine, BUT now and then, you can work the bolt, and magazine spring pressure (pushing up on the follower, and DOWN on the mag) keeps the the mag as far down in the action as possible........and the bolt rides right over the top of the next round in the mag when you work it. Follow? The spring pressure of the mag pushes down at the back of the mag, the mag sticks out of the bottom of the rifle, and thus the bolt doesn't pick up the next fresh round when you work the bolt.
On my second rifle, a custom .340 Weatherby, it is only a 2 shooter due to this stupid DBM situation as described above. The smith can't make it work, so I either dump it or turn it into BDL/ADL and eat a $500 stock job.
In the .270 mtn rifle, as I said, 99% of the time its fine. As far as accuracy, mine hates 130 grainers........150 Nosler BTips with about 58 gr of H4831 will group 4 shots under .75 after say a fouler shot or two. Any more than 4 shots in succession and the skinny barrel heats and it walks. I could care less! Nice gun, light, accurate, but the DBM sucks, I'd NEVER buy another.
Sorry for the long post, but that's my experience.
