Need access for cow elk HD422

Hunting partner told me to put in for a surplus cow tag in region 4.  So I see HD422 and put in for it.  Then he says oh put in for HD004-80.  To late!

Any one have a reference for me for cow elk in HD422.  The HD has no block management.

Wish I could help you there at Doecowhunt.com, but I have not had any landowners sign up for elk hunts yet.  You would think that more folks would be interested in controlling elk numbers on their ranches in areas with cow tags but I guess they haven't heard of the website yet.

Some years ago I notice unsold tags in that area and went looking for a place to hunt.  A knocked on a lot odoors down there and found most under contract to outfitters.  Several want large tresspass fees, none would give access.  Right now there is no block management in that HD

If you want access in that area be prepared to buy it,the ranchers who dont outfit or lease to outfitters lease their ranch one week at a time to get around not having an outfitters liscence.
