I'm not exactly sure I'd use "sharp" as a descriptive adjative but will agree that as such modernistic guns go it's not bad looking for the type. To me they all are kinda ugly as sin but even I have finally come around and picked up a few ARs. Who knows some day even I might wind up owning something like this. What is it chambered in?

Hi Point currently offers (2) carbines,  the 995 (9mm) and the 4095 (40 caliber).  Right now the new TS (Tactical Stock) is only offered for the 9mm carbine.

Bill,  I own (2) 995 carbines.  I bought a used one for $150.00 OTD.  I was amazed how accurate and reliable it was. I liked it just the way it was with the iron sights.  Then I got to thinking,  what if I put a scope on it?  So,  seeing as how they were a low cost reliable weapon I decided to buy another one and put a cheap BSA red dot scope on it.  That cheap scope that I bought at Wal Mart really brought that little carbine to life.  So,  for the $216.00 OTD I paid for the new 995 carbine and the $29.95 I paid for the red dot scope, I got one heck-of-a-great-weapon that I would fully trust as a personal defense weapon.  You won't believe how great these little Hi Point carbines are until you shoot one.  But I will say this,  you won't be disappointed.

I like my old hi-point carbine.
it eats anything I stuff into the magazine but likes the remington 124 grain golden sabre's.
The only bad thing I can say is that it "sounds" cheap when you jack the action.(metal and plastic does that)*grins*
Other than that though, it's well worth the $100 I paid for it used close to 15 years ago.
