CAN 45-70 DIES BE USED TO LOAD 45-90 CASES?  ARE THERE ANY PREFERENCES TO DIES, LYMAN/RCBS/ETC.?  WHY DO THE RCBS COST SO MUCH MORE THAN LYMAN?  A CASE IS A CASE, NO?
THANKS, ED

No problem.  I use my 45/70 dies to reload 45/100, which has a case 0.2" longer than the 45/90 (2.6" vs 2.4", and the 45/70 is 2.1" ).

I only need to resize the top 1" or so of my 45/100, so that's how I have the sizer die set up.

Ed, my recommendation is to get the Lee dies.  For the money, I think they're the best reloading deal going...and don't let the low price fool you, they are quality gear.  With the money you save from buying the more expensive die sets, you can get a powder compression die from Buffalo Arms (You'll probably have to compress your loads some in order to optimize the load, and definitely DON'T want to do that with soft lead bullets)
