Any predictions about the tragic fall of Barack Obama? He's reckless and he's going to go down hard, I just can't predict how it will happen. My best guess is that the people who elected him will turn against him.

That may be but how much damage will he do before that happens? And screw Colin Powell, Obama campaigned on a socialist platform & he endorsed him anyway. Now he's trying to distance himself, what a jerk. Obama's socialist views are exactly why I DIDN"T vote for him, along with his anti-gun agenda.

I said this in a post about 2-3 months ago. It will not be the conservative,gun owner,pro life crowd that will bring him down. We know what to expect from him. It will be his followers, unable to accept the fact that he can't preform miracle's, that will be his down fall. They will rebel against him much harder than we ever could. He won't be able to put a flat screen tv in every house, or a Caddy in the driveway. Carter was in his 3rd year when his followers finally figured out what kind of a numbnut they elected. Obama hasn't even made it 6 month's. We'll probably make it thru this summer, and winter is to cold for the liberal idiots to do much. I think next summer should be down right exciting. gypsyman

Exactly, we the decent condervative folks want very little from our government except to be left alone. Now the BHO supporters are a parasitic bunch who expect to be givin everything for nothing. WHen BHO cannot deliver what is not there to deliver, his parasite followers will attack him.

I think your being a bit niaeve about how he's going to go down. Obama's tactics are classic bread and circus. Just like the Romans put on bloody shows fought by Gladiators in the Arena to keep the populace happy, Obama will put out something to pull his slight of hand when the time comes near, the puppet will dance and the people will cheer.

I think you folks are forgetting that Obama is the nations first black president. If you think the media will allow his legacy to tarnish then I've got some oceanfront property in AZ to sell you.

Colon Powell? He just came out in support of Sotomayor's fire fighter decision.

The General supported someone who has the same body language and smile as the crooks who hang out around military bases, looking for boots with their first paycheck, and he supports someone who makes decisions based on irrelevancies, never mind deciding to support something against the regs (or Constitution, in this case).

I don't think much of Powell's judgment. I'm glad he is no longer in the military, or in a position to effect the military.

Folks ya continue to ignore one simple fact. Both parties are fully and completely owned lock, stock and barrel by the same group of super rich folks most of whom are not even Americans. The vast majority of politicians at the national level and a great many at the state and local levels especially in the really large cities are owned by this super rich cabal of folks.

Their agenda is the only agenda that matters to these folks as they are owned as if chattel by the cabal. The republican party is merely the milder mannered party that makes folks thing there is still hope when in fact there is not.

They are NOT gonna be removed at the polls. The one and ONLY way to remove them is by force of arms. That war is coming to America I believe it's merely a matter of when. It will happen before November 2012. The only question is who will win. Well OK what will be left of our country when it is over is also a question to be answered. I figure it likely will not remain intact afterward and will likely be torn apart with multiple countries coming out of it and perhaps much of our soil held by foreign powers as well. Russia will likely take Alaska and some of the NW, Mexico will attempt to take Texas, California, NM and AZ at least. I doubt they will be successful. China likely will come in at least to the west coast for their share.

That's what we have now! Most Republicans could hardly drag themselves to the polls to vote for McCain. And if they did they had to hold their noses. Palin was better, but her 'handlers' didn't help things. Lots of the neo-cons despised Palin and sabotaged her in the GOP.
Ron Paul has a very broad appeal. Young, old, it's really remarkable. A rare honest man in government, with fiscal and foreign policys that would have saved us, dare I say it? trillions of dollars and won the respect of the world.
He would have done more for all Americans of all races, done more for black folks than Obama any day. He would have got us out of the foolish wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, not broadened the war into Pakistan.
I fear Graybeard may be right about the situation, in that case it's time for that third party. Maybe it is a good thing the GOP is failing.

GB is right because a 3rd party is doomed to be stuck with a bloated government, a hostile world, and a selfish mob. You can't fix the government in one election. You can't isolate to focus on domestic issues because the world won't let that happen. And you're still stuck with a culture that is fixated on self. Fewer and fewer Americans will sacrifice for anything. The founders fought for the time and space to build it right, because they had a vision and a will.

And if GB is right, might start working on a vision and a will to go with the stockpile of milspec ammo you got for your hicap assault rifles. A guy with a gun is easily defeated. People willing to sacrifice themselves for a common idea are not.
