7x57 and 7x64 are a couple of the rarest, along with the RMEF 35 Whelen.

I think the run of .444 Ultras was fairly small too.

Are you talking Handi's or just H&R singles as a whole. The 22 jet is pretty rare. Kurt

I agree with Tim & Kurt that the RMEF 35, 7x64, 7x57 & the 22 jet are indeed rare.
I am very lucky to have all of them.
How about the RMEF 280, which I have on the way?
I was told that there was a RMEF 223 also.
How about it Tim, ever hear of that one?

I guess there are a lot of the special run for special interest groups like RMEF. I have a shotgun labeled San Jacinto Valley dove hunt with a sjv serial prefix. Think year was 83. gold color lettering. Does any one know anything about this particular run.
I also have yet to fire my 22 jet... but working on it.
Thanks Don.

I have one of the 280 sponser rifles, but was unable to locate the shotgun that was to go with it. If you know someone that was a RMEF banquet frequenter from then your chances of acquiring/finding one would increase.
thanks Don.

Now you can say you know of 2

I have the 1996 RMEF matched set of 12ga and 280.  They are not only matched in style, they have consecutive serial numbers.

The NWTF 12ga Toppers have been available several times at their banquets over the last several years, dunno if I'd consider them rare since they repeatedly offer them, I'd love one in 20ga tho.  ;)

Wouldn't the rarest be one of the Mag calibers? Surely thay made a few prototypes, or did they never even get to that stage? Just wondering after I saw them crossed out after going through the FAQ's today. Billy

Nope, they never made them at all, they didn't get enough distributor pre-orders to even invest the $20k to make and test them, so they dumped em while it was still just an idea. :-\

Help me out here. I understand RMEF, but what do NWTF and WTU mean? I found this locally and don't know what it is. It is a 20 Gauge with laminated straight grip, but I can't make out the medallion in the picture. It dosen't look like a RMEF... any of you have a clue?

Thanks cowboyup453!

NWTF = National Wild Turkey Federation... that explains it. It was listed as a youth model at the store, and I just found this...

Copied from:  http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m3197/is_3_48/ai_99207019/pg_2/

"H&R 1871 offers five turkey guns in its New England Firearm Pardner line. There are two 10 gauge, two 12 gauge and a 20-gauge youth model. In the Harrington & Richardson line-up, the company has two NWTF Edition Turkey Guns. The adult version is a 12 gauge with a full-choke 24-inch barrel; the youth model is a 20 gauge with a modified-choke 22-inch barrel."

This must be the youth model NWTF 20 gauge. Is this rare?

I'm pretty sure I handled one of the National Trappers Associations rifles and I think? it was in 1996 at their convention in Michigan. It was a raffle or auction item.  I may possibly have a photo of it but be patient with my search (it would be in a magazine).  Might take me a few days incase I have the wrong year(or gun) in mind as i have been to many NTA conventions.

I was just on gunbroker.com and saw a topper model 158 in 22 Jet with a .410 and 20 ga barrel. The auction was only at $150.

There is also the 45-70 GOLD BUFFALO Model.  They only made 300 of them. Don't know how that compares to the number made of RMEF models.
