We're due to get some o that white stuff Sunday night.  Keeps things from getting to predictable. ;D  Had a good rain last night, we need the moisture.  This should slow down the snowmelt and let the rivers go down a bit.  DP

What's this late freeze doing to the crops? I've seen nothing at all in the news.

We didn't get freeze, we got snow!  Lucky us. There is a difference. By 2 in the afternoon the snow all melted and the water went in the ground.  When it freezes the moisture evaporates and we don't get the water in the ground

I grow cold weather crops in my garden, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and beets.  We covered our tomato's also.  Next year I am going to try and grow Siberian tomato's.

You won't see much about Montana weather in the news. We have a state that is about 650 mi long by 250 miles wide, but a population of less than 1 million.  A similar size area on the eastern seaboard would include several million people and a June snow fall would effect far more people and be newsworthy.

Here in MN it has been a very cold summer so far. We did have 2 freak windy days that were in the 90's but othrwise it has been cold here.  40's to 50's at night and 60's to 70's in the daytime. No global warming here.
