I had a brother that killed himself with a shotgun to his head. I was 14 years old at the time. He did it the day before his 21st birthday. After we put him in the ground. We find out his girlfriend was expecting. My parents offered to pay for everything. My parents wanted to adopt this child. She went down and had an abortion. It crushed the whole family.

This is kind of wierd and I may after all these years come up with why he did it. I am now more than twice his age when he killed himself. For the last 10 years or so I just figured he was young and stupid. Now I am writing this I may have come up with another reason I never thought of until now.

What if she was screwing around on him and it was not his kid? In all these years that never crossed my mind. Maybe she told him and he could not deal with it. Wow I have to think on this a bit because it just come to mind. Dale

I'm not sure about the hereafter aspect of the question, but it does strike me as a good thing that he's not on earth killing babies any more.

  I won't judge his final disposition...but there is something I am a bit concerned about;

   According to the news....His wife, well cared for by the 60,000+ baby boys & girls that were "snuffed". was singing up front, on the podium and he was ushering people into "God's house" when he got shot..
   I know it was called "Redeemer Lutheran"..but just what kind of "church" would allow a couple with so much innocent blood upon their hands..to be in any kind of influential position...let alone attend their church ?
  C'mon, I know some decent Lutherans frequent this website, clue us in to what is happening in that denomination ?

I can't get over the irony of the situation. A pro-lifer kills a guy at church. The shooter had a double standard, but I just don't think I should be the one judging.

NEWSTARK. Sinners DO belong in church, but certainly not in the capacity tiller the killer was. For the pastor to allow him to greet people and be an usher was condoning his murderous ways. If his wife wants to sing, she should have done it from a pew, not be a choir member, again, the church condoning tillers filthy occupation. No way possible that the preacher didn't know what tiller did for a living. Too many preachers refuse to tell the truth, and it's their job to. They are afraid of stepping on toes and running folks off, thereby losing tithes and offerings, I suspect tillers pastor was one of those. Too many only preach the feel good things, they won't preach against killing babies or homosexuality, probly lose all their dumcrap members. I've heard our preacher say many times that, if I know the truth and don't tell you, then your lost soul is on my head. He's right. Preachers need to stand up ad tell congregations what God wants them to hear, not what they want to hear. POWDERMAN.

can you show me reliable news reports (besides some left-wingnut hack) that says the shooter was a "pro-lifer"? Last I heard, they could only trace his past to some para-military groups and several felonies, including bomb-making ( like Wm Ayers) from some years in the past.

Don't know who the "theologian" is that you posted from, but I must respectfully disagree. I think the guy is interpreting toward an agenda. First he makes this claim;

Job 3:3, 10-11, 16

That last verse, Job 13:16 tells us very much about how Job saw the matter of being a fetus. He saw it as “not having being,” or as we would say, “not having existence.” That is exactly what the text says and that is what any common sense person would accept as the teaching of Job.
My KJV Bible says no such thing in Job 13:16..so, correcting his mistake, I went to Job 3:16 which says " Or as an hidden, untimely birth I had not been; as infants which never saw light".
It sure seems as if the term "as infants which never saw light", would rather back up the belief in conscious being of pre-born boys & girls, doesn't it. Don't know where in Job the author wrested his ideas from, but let's look in a couple places to see what God thinks of such a situation. (Psalm139:15-17) or (proverbs 31:

...much clearer than that Job game someone is trying to play..No ?

TM...Precisely what many here have been saying..a scalpel can be a nice little sword for dispatching little boys & girls; so he met his fate as predicted..

I am guessing of course, but as with liberals and unbelievers, your continued insistance on referring to little boys & girls, using the term "fetus"...seems to imply some sort of early guilt. As I have often told liberals using the same line.." denying culpability doesn't assuage guilt a bit..but there is ONE who can remove that guilt, provide forgiveness and give you a cleansed soul & spirit.
When you insist that a baby doesn't have a soul..you are treading dangerous ground.. Best you go to your knees and seek the presence of Almighty God ..right now!

I just believe what the Bible says, and not what the Church says. I don't agree with abortion. I don't think just anyone should be able to get one. Until a fetus breaths, it isn't a human being. It's part of the mother. It's not something you can grasp, but it's a fact none the less. Abortion isn't murder.

If this fellow had gone into a gun shop and killed a bunch of folks because he didn't believe folks should have guns, & you heard someone singing his praises how would you feel? It sounds like you believe that freedom of choice is only for you, and not everyone.

Condeming a child to a life with parents who don't want or love it, isn't a good thing.
