Some interesting concepts here. Some that apparently lie well hidden beneath the psyche. As with Billy, I must admit I am surprised by the demonstration of hatred toward the Jewish people. I see in it the same type of irrational, non intellectual hatred today's radical liberals are heaping upon Sarah Palin ! It certainly appears to be a force-driven madness but then such is a historical hatred, depending greatly upon the individual's relationship with God.

Saying that God's special relationship with the Jews leaves we Christians out in the cold, only points up a lack of information covering the historical and theological facts. I would suggest a thoroughly expository Bible study.

PM is correct concerning the land deed God gave the Jews. He promised them unconditionally, that they would be his "chosen people" and the area in question would be their chosen land..those were unconditional promises. God did not promise that as His chosen people he would not discipline them time to time, just as we do with our own beloved children.
These legitimate descendants of Abraham (through Isaac) strayed from time to time. God sent them into captivity in Egypt, and he also had Moses to lead them out. He sent them in captivity to Babylon because of their disobedience. Curiously they were at that time, behaving as many in the USA are today. Prophets were warning the people to repent (turn about) from their wicked ways..but most would not hear. Although God sent their nation into captivity, He still had to keep his promise of their land-deed...so he brought them out again.
God did not take the land from the Jews, but rather, took the Jews from their land..a very fine, but nonetheless important point.
The USA, although originally blessed by God, has no such unconditional promise. Our status with Him is based purely on performance..and we are not doing so good with Him right now !
When he (using Rome) forced the Jews from the promised land in 70 AD, he also promised that they would return..which they have.. The big joke among serious Bible students is that the British, the UN and others think they reinstalled the Jews in the Promised Land. God reinstalled them..and He simply used these other entities to "grease the skids" so to say.

The last diaspora (70 AD), dispersed the Jews and the newly formed Christianity sect around the then known world, so your claim of the crusades of the late middle ages, killing off all the legitimate Christians & Jews...sounds like a claim which might be made by Osama Bin Ladin or some hysterical mullah in Fallujah or Detroit.
You speak of the murdering done by crusaders..but somehow you fail to mention the even more rampant murders committed by the fanatic Muslims (and still going on) in trying to hold land not given to them. This demonstrates clearly how one-sided you are, concerning the issue. The Jews are back in their homeland and anyone that tries in any way to usurp what God wills there is taking a frightful risk.
The Assyrians, the Medo-Persians, Egyptian Pharohs, Philistines, the Hittites, Moabites, Caananites, Jebusites and Romans, and Hitler's 3rd Reich among many others, tried to extinguish the Jews and/or their homeland.
Where are these great powers today...and where are the Jews ?
