Next republican presidential candidate?

If Romney wants to run again, it he may have a good shot at it. With the economic problems the government has begun, somebody that knows economics and money will have a much stronger chance to succeed than in the last election.

I was hoping it would be Jon Huntsman, but Obama already made his next chess move and made Huntsman the new US ambassador to China, a job that will take him out of a 2012 presidential run.

If you have never heard Bobby Jindal of Louisiana speak you would never know what an intelligent person he is.  And from what I have heard he has remained honest, and that is hard to do in Dixie.
Hope he is on the ticket in some capacity.

I have heard Jindal speak. He doesn't stand a chance. The US will not elect a president named Bobby. We will also not elect a guy who addresses the nation like Mr. Rogers speaking to a group of kindergarteners.

Newt would probably be a good choice. He's capable of it, and has a proven record of working with both sides to yield good solutions on important issues. Will he want to do it at nearly age 70? I kinda doubt it. He was great in his role as speaker, probably the best thing that ever happened to the Clinton administration.

It seems that many didn't learn a thing in the last election. Mitt Romney? He's a damn left of center wanna "CLAIM" conservative. Are you guys already planning on voting for another McCain in four years? Hot damn, another thread hashing the lessor of two evils. ::)

Of course your right, he can't. Know one knows how to, or is afraid to, climb out of his or her designated voting rut.
Besides, a conservative hasn't ran on the Republican ticket for 20 years. But, that doesn't stop so called conseratives from voting for Republicans.

The media was scared to death of Sara Palin.  They did a very through job of character assassination, and are at still at it.  There have been 14 Ethics Complaints against her here in the state.  So far 12 have been dismissed as frivolous and the other two are expected to be dismissed also.  If Sara does run the hostile Media will go for the jugular, they do not want to see her as a candidate.  The Media had selected Obama, and Sara got McCain in the running and scared them bad.  The Media will do what ever they have to to stop her, as soon as they can.  A lot of the stuff they reported was made up and false.

I'm looking for Newt to run.  Also Huckabee is placing himself in the spotlight a lot.

I'm perfectly content to "help" the real bad ones get elected by not voting for republicans.  If republicans were to do a 180 and clean up their party and stand up for real conservatives, it's possible they might make a comeback,  but I doubt it at this point.  Would take years of being ultra conservative and not afraid to say it before conservatives would trust them again.  Only one way to go now, get things so bad that people leave their parties (both dems and reps) and get back to basics, or lose it all including more freedoms.  I'm so sick of politics I'm actually ready for that to happen.  People deserve it.  The republican that represents my state is worthless and represents himself.  There are a couple of democrats in congress that doesn't or hasen't went along with most of this crap, they are better than any republican who has voted us into a hole.  Party has nothing to do with anything anymore, pure politics.  
It's getting to the point where the people that represent us are afraid to speak out about what's really right, because it might affect their re-elections or hurt the party somehow.  This is insane.  It actually proves the party thinks it's more important than an individual ...a republican clown actually stated this in our state not long ago, put us down for not wanting a republican to come here and speak, because this republican was for gay marriage.  Said our tent needed to be bigger as conservatives.  

YA?  Well the republicans here got a lot of room in their big ol tent now...many of us are looking for a smaller tent.  Much smaller.  We will watch our state crash before we vote for less than we deserve. Cause we are mad.  At republicans.  I say let the other party have it all...and get used to it till people wise up.  Maybe they have to be slaves again and start the cycle over from scratch.  So be it.  I'm tired of the same old battle between two very big corrupt political parties who all vote the same on record and give speeches like they don't vote the same.  Any people attached to either of these parties now have to not be thinking at all, they must be zombies.

Who is yall? I voted for Palin, but it was a wasted vote, not likely to do that again. BTW, can you name one State that lost due to the Independent vote & if so, what would the total Electorial votes be?

No, it cannot be shown 3rd party cost McCain, that is patently false. McCain & weak Republicans put themselves out of power.

Palin & Patreas (in that order) in 2012. Already have a hat and shirt a love nothing more than walking around the mall in Jensen Beach offending all the Obama shirt wearing idiots.

Conservatism is not dead it just needs to regain its sense of direction and most importantly its backbone.
