New Handi and no brass
« on: May 26, 2009, 12:13:09 PM »
Does anybody have a source for new .45 Colt brass? Everybody I can think of is out of stock and I'm dying to shoot this little booger. Thanks, Tom

If all the stock houses are out you can order direct from Starline, they have excellent brass it's what I use for 45 Colt and loaded hot it keeps on running.  Got some cases been loaded 9 times with 20.0gr LilGun under 315gr SWC.  DP

Possibles Shop shows it in stock. Might call to confirm. I have gotten 45-70 from them in the past.

Tom,
If you think it's hard to find brass, just try to find primers! I hope this madness will stop soon! :(

Got that right.  The primer manufacturers say they're running full tilt boogie, but no one has any.  Hard to figure.

I asked my wife that in lieu of offering up extremities, I was wondering if it were possible for her to have another "first borne man-child" so I can put a deposit down on some primers.

Floor's cold.

So very cold.......

Go get your Hunting camp stuff.  You know the Cot, foam mattress, and the really warm sleeping bag.
You are just not thinking outside the box.

Tom,
I feel sorry for you and I have a 20 count Box of Federal 45 Long Colt brass I need to dig up out of the garage I think I can send you.  I need to make sure I did not give them away before I moved north to my friend Mark when I handed him all of my 38 S&W brass.
Lately I have been shooting 45 Schofield in my 45 Colt as they eject better.  I have a Schofield copy and the Clot brass is a little too long.
PM me your address and I will get them out to you As quick as I can.

I ordered some 45-70 brass from Starline a few months ago.  It showed a wait of about 2 weeks but it was at my house about a week later:)

Thanks Tim and to everyone who offered help. Blue Star had brass, nickle but I was glad to get it. I managed to pick up 100 primers last weekend. I have a dab of w296 to try. Thanks again. Tom
