Good morning Montanan, MT_Sourdough, dpe, Southpaw, Forster, Atlaw, pab1, newstart2k, Skunk, kitchawan kid, lurker, CJ, Bilmac, thxmrgarand, Syncerus, Mcwoodduck, Brennemanj83, Old Shooter,TY22, Canon6, burntmuch, Grimjim, CJ, Bilmac, rparsons934 wis_sharpshooter, BBF and Blue Duck.

Well it was starting to look like another beautiful days is starting here in Cut Bank.  39 degrees clear skies but I see some clouds moving in. Weather report says partly sunny this morning and partly cloudy this afternoon.

Made a run up to Southpaw's place yeasterday afternoon, so our wive's could visit.  Used Ernie's die grinder to work over my cannon and get it ready for painting.  Also got the markings put on the barrel.  Southpaw welded me up some handles on my zinc cannonball moulds.  We also cut som zinc up so it fits on my pot.   It was a beautiful afternoon for these activities.

Thanks Ernie!!  When you get those shackles done It will be time to put every thing back together and fire the gun.

Ernie's mortar is also coming along just fine.  It's going to be pretty neat when it's finished.

Good Morning Montana!

Well, yesterday I had big plans to go shooting, but by the time the weather was favorable, I was on to other things. Ended up going to visit my daughter, son-in-law, and the grandkids. Ended up playing dump trucks in the sand pile with my youngest daughter and grandson while the wife coddled and spoiled our four-month-old granddaughter. Of course, when it was time to go back into the house, it was my turn to pamper the littlest one for a few hours. ;) Grandpas - their work is just never finished. :D

Hope you folks have a great day.

That surley does seem to be the way of it around here as I spent most of last Sat entertaining the 18 month old grandson and yesterday entertaining the four year old Granddaughter. Lots of energy in those two for sure, they are great to have around but perhaps the best part is that they go home at the day's end.

I have never been to Montana but would put hang gliding high on my list if I was a resident. Perhaps one of those 17mile trips from the 9000ft sugarloaf mountain range on down to the 3000ft elevation of Cody Wy.
No fancy aerobatics that might get one in trouble but just a gentle glide with a Vario so as to find and ride the thermals. Can't do that here in the realitively flat central IL :(

Let me try this again...  :-[

Woke up to a beautiful, clear, cool (50 degree) day.  Naturally, since it rained all weekend...  ::)

Just home from Shelby . We are putting mother in Long term care @ hospital nursing wing . She is 97 , Sad part is her mind is good , body shot .

Doug , Forgot about the shackles till I reached in my pocket last night . We could have done them yesterday while you were here . :( will go out to shop and get them done now . We have to clean out mothers apartment this week so will be in and out of here . Saturday brother is coming up to help move the furniture from her other apartment .   Perhaps tomorrow we can run them over after we do a bit of packing @ mothers .

Beautiful day , windy but beautiful . The little owls in the Goose nest are growing fast . They are white with black spots around there eyes . Hope the mother is a dive bomber in case the little hoots don't make it to shore on initial take off.  If they can fly 25 yards they will make shore .

Glanceblamm,

That's the beauty of grandchildren: when you're tired out, you can give them back to their parents. ;)

By the way, you are a braver man than me hang gliding through the sky. :o Maybe when I was twenty or so. I love to fly airplanes though. I was a pilot for South Western Airlines for a few years... ah, on VATSIM, using Microsoft Flight Simulator. :D

Sorry to hear about the rainy weekend Richard.

Hey glanceboom, its not hang gliding, but my friend just paid a visit last week after judging the world paragliding championships in Mexico.  It was funny, because he spotted some hangliders setting up on Mt Sentinel from about 35 miles away.  He looked up and said it looks like a hang glider up there.  I asured him it wasnt, but rather a last patch of snow.  About ten minutes later, that snow was gliding high above Missoula ::) ::).
I tried a little fishing the last couple of days, but water levels on rivers are just too high.  I should be hitting the lakes right now.
I've seen FW&P rangers over each of the last three days.  Id have to say, I think we have the nicest, coolest Rangers in the country   (I have only heard stories about officials in other states).  In Montana, they know their business. ;D
I hope all you good folk have a fine day tomorow.
Gotta git'me a bigger ice box
