Brass availabilty?
« on: May 06, 2009, 05:51:42 AM »
I bought a bunch of supplies before the big increase in brass prices. I'd like to get some more. How is availabilty today? Have the prices moderated some?

Questor.  Last summer there were tons of brass available at fair prices, and if a man wanted to his could get all he needed by picking it up at the rangs.  That is not true in all areas today.  Here, for example, even the police have started picking up off their range and selling the brass.

Some say there is an abundance of 9mm and .40 available, but I have not found this to be true.  I just bought 2500 rounds of once fired commerical 9mm brass, it cost $35.  I aalsso just purchased 5000 rounds of .357 Sig brass from a police range, cost $68.  I know this is hign, but the point is, either you pay the price or do without.

According to what I read here, the availabity of brass differs from place to place.  Primers, that's a totally different story.

Actually those are very fair prices. I'd love to pick up some more .40 S&W and especially .357 Magnum at such prices.
