Remington 7600

When cleaning the 7600, is there a way to get the bolt out to clean?  The most I have been able to do is to remove the trigger assy.  To save the crown, I clean the barrel with a bore snake.

The method for the 760 (which I assume is the same for the 7600) included removing the barrel and sliding the bolt forward out of the receiver.  

A detailed description of this plus photos was published in a book called something like "Firearms Assembly and Disassembly - Modern Firearms".  Its probably long out of print, but you may be able to find one at a gun show.  

As I recall removal of the barrel wasn't all that difficult.

I used to own a 7600. I was never adventurous enough to remove the barrel. I cannot remember being able to remove the bolt from the rifle without performing disassembly I was unwilling to attempt. Remington will send you a user's manual, as the manual is also responsible for providing safety information, it twill be free and will detail how to disassemble the rifle for cleaning . Careful cleaning rod guidance as the bore is cleaned will prevent any damage. There used to be bore guides available for use from the muzzle.
