Pete, thanks for starting this thread.  You're absolutely correct.  Tim is ALWAYS there with help and it's always GOOD help too. I always wonder how he manages to have the time to get to all of these questions.  If one raises a question, it's only a matter of an hour or two and there he is....Tim, Quickdtoo to the rescue!  If it's during normal work hours, sometimes he's there with a reply or answer within minutes!  How do you do that Tim??

Anyway, I second Pete's and everyone's feelings.....Thanks so much Tim!

I was considering an Optima Elite for a while but after handling a couple and following this forum I definitly made the right decision.  After learning how to bed my barrels to the forearms, fitting a barrel, tuning a trigger and so far shooting over 300 rounds from my various barrels I really can't say the Handi's have a downside.  I have even traded for a barrel that is a proven stringer of shots just so I can see if my way of bedding barrels will cure this trait.  I'm glad Tim got me into this hobby, I am enjoying it a lot.

Tim helped me indirectly on this one. I was changing the oil in my mother's brand new 2009 Toyota Corolla, and after I had jacked it up and put it on jack stands, drained the oil and was about to tackle the filter, I noticed it didn't use a typical canister filter at all, especially not like the one I bought. I gave the dealership a call. They did not have the wrench I needed (SST 09228-06501) to access the canister filter in stock, and they wanted an outrageous sum of money for it. I then turned to my friend Google. After some search through various forums, I located this thread: http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forums/rav4/66310-06-rav4-v6-oil-filter-oil/ and it applies to her Toyota as well. The same 65-67mm socket will fit it, with a special Wal-mart shim of course. I was able to get the proper cartridge filter and return the improper canister filter and get the job done that evening. You saved my butt and my money on that one, as she needed the car the next morning. Thanks again Tim! You seem to find many creative uses for shims, from rifles to automotive applications!  ;D

I haven't been around the site too long, but I will say Tim is largely responsible for my latest addiction, 2 handis in the last month and dreaming of more...and the one that got away, a 7mm-08 RMEF version that I took off layaway for another gun!! You've forever changed the way I look at a used gun rack.

Thanks Tim for being so open and responsive to questions.

I can say a great big thanks to Tim for his vast knowledge and moderation of "All Things Handi", and also to all of the input from the brothers and sisters on GBO.   I was ready to give up on my 243 Handi and turn it into a lamp for the hunting camp until I read Tim's FAQ's.    Got the thing shooting great so it now goes afield with my 12 yo son instead of sitting in a corner.

Many many Thanks!!!!! :)

All of those that have asked for and got answers, advice, directions and a pleasant greeting from Tim, and neglected to say thank you, please raise your hands.

For all of "them"
Thanks Tim!

And a big thanks from me.
