I would start with H-4895. Hodgdon use to encourage the use of this powder for light loads starting with 60% of the maximum load listed in their manual. I'm not sure if they still do. I tried doing this with loads for my Marlin 444, but had unburned powder until I increased the load to 85% of the maximum load. Looking in my 1995 edition, the maximum load for the 130 grain bullet is 46.0 grains. 85% of that is 39.1 grains. 60% of the maximum load is 27.6 grains. The listed starting load in the manual is 42.5 grains. A standard primer should be used.

Good luck! Hope this helps.

Hodgdon list H4895 for the Hornady 130gr SP, use their 60% rule.

In Lee's "Modern Reloading" 2nd edition, SR4759 and 130 gr jacketed list:

24.5 gr at 2035fps  and MAX of 27.5 gr at 2260fps.  Max pressure with 27.5gr is 51300cup.  Min OAL is 3.250"

I have used this powder for my son's first deer rifle.  He could easily shoot it in a handi and he was about 50-55 lbs at the time.

I liked this powder for reduced loads cause it still keeps the pressures up, but the H4895 is a good one too, especially since you can bump it up all the way to the max velocities later.

Good luck.
