New .357's up and runnin'
« on: April 18, 2009, 08:58:45 AM »
Thanks to some very special people here on this forum, the .357 Handi that was stolen is replaced, and it is a shooter.  The first three shots at sixty yards produced a one hole target.  Two went almost through the same hole, and the other was touching, all about 2 inches right of center.  It's the first time I grinned in two weeks ;D ;D  I got the scope moved left and it is dead on.  I only had a few rounds to play with, cause the thief got some of that too.  If I had some more ammo, I'd still be out there playing with it.

I like to shoot big bullets long distance, like Ty.  Therefore, I'm hard at work on my next project.......The Gravity Eliminator.  We could sight in at 25 yards and be dead on at 500 or a thousand, or what?  I'll keep y'all posted on that one. ;)

Seriously, thank all of you again.

Pete

That's great news.

I know I'd feel pretty bad if I lost my .357 max.

When I leave the house to go to the ranch, that is the rifle I always grab.

The others are my 10/22 and my .40 caliber Glock.

Those three, and I'm a happy camper!
My culled down Handi's are the 45-70, and then I have a few others to keep it company...357 Mag/Max. .45 LC/.454 Casull Carbine, .243 Ultra, and 20 gauge Tracker II.

Thanks guys.  I'll be back at it tomorrow.  I'm going to ream it to Max and put a Mil Dot on it.  I love to smack something right on at 300 yards with "A Hundred Yard Rifle".  I'm talking targets.  I'm not saying I would ever try to kill a deer at 300 yards with a .357 Mag., but I would sure try a woodchuck!

A special thank you to Quickdtoo, Doublebass73 for the barrel and JerryKo for the stock.  Men like them restore your faith in humankind.  If all mankind lived as they do, this world would be a paradise.

I've never encountered finer people than I have here.

Bless you all.

Pete

Pete, I missed this whole deal! My shooting/hunting buddy and I have been distracted lately tinkering with our newly acquired CZ-52's.
I'd also like to get a .357 reamed max... When I get a 'Round Tuit::)

Lousy start of this story (thieves-ugh) but I'm really glad to see how it turned out for you!  :)
and...
Good On You All who helped him get square!
