New 44 mag handi

Here are some pics of my new handi.The barrel is marked sb2 ultra.I hope someone  knows something about this.I have never seen a 44 mag marked with ultra.Love the straight grip laminated stocks.I did some looking here and at least the frame was mad in 1995.I believe that would make the barrel one with a oversize bore.Hope the pics work

There were several 44Mags that came out with oversized bores but you don't know till you slug it and measure it to make sure. Good looking 44 you have there, let us know how she shoots.

It is a nice looking rifle. If it has an over sized bore, purchase hard cast bullets that are about .001" over bore. +1 on letting us know how it shoots. Good Luck and Good Shooting

1+ on the hard cast bullets.  My 44 barrel slugs out to .431".  Factory Winchester 240 gr JSP groups 2.5" @ 100yd.  Hard cast .431 and .432 diameter bullets group at 1.5" to 1.75" with the right load.  It does take some testing to find that load, however.  I've never heard of a 44 stamped "ultra" either.

I have the same rifle but the stock is the camo laminate and the year is 96
