360gr at 1860fps is firmly in 45-70 territory and in a lighter package. Another plus on the 454 is no case lube to clean off. That is a the job I don't like when I'm reloading. Yes, I like my 45-70, but am really impressed with the 454 and even the old 45 colt loaded hot for the 92 Puma and my Redhawk. I really like the Lams on your 454, where did ya find those? DP
