Anyone have any experience with the Uberti made S&W No. 3 2nd Model? As some were originally made in 44/40, I sure would like to try one. I own a Uberti made cap and ball Colt and the workmanship is top notch.

If it is as good as the Russian and the Schofield it is a fine revolver. I found the Uberti top-breaks to be the best workmanship and finish of any other Uberti made revolvers I've ever seen

I dont think 44wcf was ever offered in the schofield. It was in the New Model number 3 however. If wanting to be authentic I'd choose 45colt and shoot 45S&W out of it. Good luck
