I bought a 243 (sb2-343) about 3 weeks ago and just got around to cleaning it and getting ready to reload for it. I have found that the throat is so long that I can not even get the bullet to seat in the brass when I was trying to get the bullet to just touch the lands. Is this a common issue with these guns? I called H&R and was told that this was done to insure all factory ammo would work in the gun. I have read on here that some of these guns have long throats in them but I am a little hesitant about believing the answer I was given. I was told that it would not affect accuracy but I have a real hard time believing this. I may be wrong and this may be the way all of the 243's are and it may not be an issue other than to me. I plan on shooting the Sierra 85 gr Game King. I have read through the faq's and may be over looking this information and if I am I appoligize. Any information on this throat issue would be gratly appreciated and if it is something I do not need to worry about I won't. I just know that every rifle I own I can get the bullet to touch the lands and still be seated in the case. Thanks
