Mine shoots extremely well. I have fired lead bullets for the most part, 240-250 grain and velocity at 1000 fps. It is quickly turning into my "favorite". Mine is a 5 1/2" BTW. (That is it in my avatar pic)

Mine will be in next week, and I want to get some bullets loaded for it. I'm thinking a 245 SWC @ 900 to 1000. What powder did you use?

I shoot mostly .44 specials in my .44 mag so I'm wondering what is the advantage of a gun chambered for the special exclusively? I gather these are the flat top Rugers and a bit smaller than the Blackhawks. Can anyone provide specs as to how they compare to the Blackhawk and New Vaquero? Specificaly cylinder diameter and total gun weight.
The story of David & Goliath only demonstrates the superiority of ballistic projectiles over hand weapons, poor old Goliath never had a chance.

Not any advantage, other than it might be more accurate due to the shorter cylinder. It's a nostalgia thing more than anything else. I don't know the cylinder dia., but the 4 5/8ths weighs 41 oz. and the 5 1/2 weighs 43 oz.
