urgent advise needed

I have the opprotunity to buy a ruger blackhawk .44 mag. with a 7 1/2" barrel and a 5 digit serial number. the guy wants 400$ its in about 75% condition. I dont really want or need this gun and would only be buying it to turn. any opinion would be appriciated. JB

I think if you buy it to resell you're gonna be losing money on the deal. You won't be allowed to list it here due the profit motivation in buying it.

thanks! I didnt know that about not being able to sell it on this board. I wasnt even thinking about posting it here I was thinking somewhere like gunbroker. but you think that 400 is about what it would be worth?

If it's an old model flat top, you'll be about $100 ahead at 75% condition. The nice part is that $ figure will go up, and up, and up.

very cheap for a flattop in that shape. About right for a 3 screw maybe a tad cheap but for a standard super in 75 percent shape 250 is about right and surely not over 300.
