I made the mistake the other day of "cleaning out" all my gun stuff and reorganizing it.  My wife kept walking back and forth in the hall where I temporarily stored it counting guns........The only thing she was really curious about was why I needed 13 guns chambered in 22LR.  My second mistake was asking her why she needed so many purses and shoes.........

Well, I have a big couch you can sleep on if she's still mad.  My wife (city girl) has finally realized that living with me means that if someone breaks in in the middle of the night her biggest concern is that a through-and-through will leave a hole in the wall.

Ain't no big thing.  After 39 years we've learned to tolerate one another..besides, she didn't see any of the short guns anyway, just the long ones....

Glad it didn't take to long to come too after the shoes and purses comment.  I learned reeeaall quick those items are out of bounds!   Now that the lumps are gone, I feel much better.   DP

I must have married the perfect woman.  Thirty years ago I always had money in my pocket.  She took away my checkbook and now I have money in the bank.  Most of the time when she sees me looking at a new firearm she asks "What next" like she is talking to a little kid.  By the time I think to complain about being treated like this, she generally has the money and tells me to go treat myself.  Come to think of it though she has some gorgeous jewlery and she's worth every penney I ever earned.

It took me almost 50 years of my life, but I finally landed a keeper.  Patty has almost as many guns as I have........she also outshoots me almost every time, especially with a handgun.  She's the classic patient Injun.  I fire when the sights drift across the target.  She waits till they're planted on it.  I've seen her take a half hour to shoot a chuck at 440 yards with a 90 gr. 270 HP.  But when she finally touched the trigger, the chuck was a bag of red jelly.
Her skill with the Tomahawk, knife, longbow and guns is widely known in our area.  A rumor went around a few years ago that an "eyewitness" saw her take a deer with a snap shot from her bow at 75 yards.  There was no eyewitness, but she did do it at 25 yards.  She also took one at 54 paces from her tree stand with a .45 cal. Kentucky pistol.  Both deer didn't go anywhere.
