Ok i got the barrel and rings and mounts coming (thanks to Ed's TC's) and a scope on the way so now i am going to do more to stimulate the economy and am looking at ammo for the 204 it is 26"blued 1 in 12 twist (I link this is right) i was looking at the graf & sons web sight and see they have anywhere from 34 gr. to 40 gr. and was wondering what some of you think would shoot the most accurate with this rifle for paper and occasional varmints.

ive got the pro hunter 28" bbl.

ive tried 32gr, 34gr, 40gr.
the 40gr drops FAST compared to the 32/34 grs.
if you are going for closer range, below 300m, or high wind 40gr is great, longer range, low wind 32/34 gr is great.

with my gun i couldnt tell any difference between the 32gr or 34gr offerings.

the hornady seemed to be the most "truthful" regarding bullet drop/range listed on their box/site.

I don't  shoot factory ammo in my 204 with 28" ProHunter barrel, but would like to comment that my barrel shoots the 40 grain handload ammo with excellent accuracy.   A lot of 204 shooters say their 1/12" barrels won't stabilize 40 grain bullets but not the case for mine.
