458 load dada
« on: February 12, 2009, 03:35:39 AM »
I have loaded some bullets using IMR4320 for my 458 Lott. These bullets are for the 458 Win Mag. But I'll shoot them in my Lott to see how many FPS they go. Has anyone else tried this?

Well I shot off those 458 Win Mag bullets in my Lott and they did 2108 fps. I figure not bad for those 458 Win Mag.

Dunno you failed to give any specifics on bullet type or weight. If they are 500s then I agree not bad, not great but not bad. If 350s or 400s kinda slow for either the Winny or Lott. What kind and weight bullets were you shooting? If you're a bullet caster you can have some really cheap shooting by casting up some bullets for it.
