SB1 357maxi range report
« on: February 09, 2009, 04:37:29 PM »
Finally got some aa1680 to try in my maxi.  Looks like she's gonna shoot with it and the 180 gr hornady ssp's ;D  4x scope @100yds.

Here's some pics:

A= 24gr
B= 25gr
C= 26gr

Looks like somewhere around 25 is the sweet spot for her.  Did have one misfire shooting my B load, I used some older primers they might be getting to old.  Its not the first misfire I've had with them.

  Yep, I'd say the "B" load is the one to go with. Don't mess with success.

GOOD JOB!! Did I mention that I LOVE this gun caliber combo??  ::)

 Thats just what I did, but for me 26.5 was the sweet spot!!!  I have a bunch loaded waiting for the warmer weather to go shoot them!!

 I just tired some loads with the new 200Gr FTX bullet...

Seems pretty typical to me - the most accurate load is usually a bit less than maximum.
