There are quite a few here with them, most shoot factory ammo, the Leverevolution ammo shoots real good in them.

What's not to like about it us all I can say...... unless you're left handed!! :D

I'm lefty, but I still would like one,..If I could find one, and a straight stock.  So far the locals say out of stock.  I'm leaning on Wal-mart but been blown off twice.  One lady looked up price, but I forgot to ask availibility, and every time I  go somebody else is at the counter.

How fast is the lever evolutions leaving the barrel?

If you do not reload, and want to shoot the LeverEvoloution rounds a little flatter, consider the Ultra Thumbhole .444 Marlin.  It's not on their website, but I have one.  The 265 grain bullet leaves the barrel around 2300 fps vs. 2050 fps of the 45-70.  If you reload, then the options in 45-70 are endless.

In full disclosure, I'm sending mine back to H&R to have the barrel checked/replaced due to it being off center.  It shoots like a dream though.  The first sub moa gun I have ever owned.

All stainless, the scope is a Nikon Omega BDC-250.

The one target of the LE ammo that I posted is listed at 2012fps, not my target, it's from another site.

Buds' has them in stock for $393 delivered, I paid $382 for mine from Bud's last year.  RR and TGS both have them in stock also.

I replaced a KP-1 with an ultra hunter 45-70. The kp-1 shot well when it shot but it did not always go off when the trigger was pulled. In Knight's defense, they have a solution for the trigger problem, but I did not want to wait for the solution to be introduced. The ultra hunter has done well so far, although I have not shot it much yet. It groups well with LE ammo as well as hand loads. I belive that I will stay with the Ultra.
