Got my first Handi today

Well I finally found the handi that I've been looking for.  I got an "NN" .243.  It looks like the standard model (no heavy barrel, 22" barrel. 14 " LOP).  Its in pristine shape, not a ding or mar on her.  got her for 159 at a local shop.  Now time to start reading the FAQs.  Looking forward to learning a lot (and maybe contributing eventually) here.

 Good deal, hope she is a shooter out of the box. if not, spend some time with the FAQs and post up for any clarifications.

Congrats.  I know how you feel as I got my first handi this past Thursday.  I got the 243 bull barrel.  I have shot a Remington 700 custom 308 for so long that I can not wait to get this one out.  CW is correct as these rifle seem to be addictive.

Congrats, and hope she shoots for ya.

I started about a little over a year ago with a .243, and now my count has gone to six.

I wasn't planning on it, but it just happened.   I'm telling you they multiply all by themselves!

My culled down Handi's are the 45-70, and then I have a few others to keep it company...357 Mag/Max. .45 LC/.454 Casull Carbine, .243 Ultra, and 20 gauge Tracker II.

Hi smb, Congrats on your new handi.
I bought one in 22-250, and a Sportster 17 HMR last fall, both are excellent shooter's.
Looking at a 270 Synthetic, and maybe a couple of different 'scatter gun's', down the road.
Once your hooked, your hooked !!

for that price it would be hard NOT to buy it......besides that,since they all look similar you can smuggle em in when wifey is busy,and when she see's it and sez "hey,buster..did you buy another d.... gun?" you can get away with " oh no dear...i've had this for a long time..besides if a pack of elephants escapes from the zoo and starts looting the neighborhood this one is just what we need"...then duck real fast....
