Bill,
Since we are discussing days on the forum here, can you tell us when the timer started and how the time online is measured?

   Thanks.

Matt might could tell you I can't. I think tho the count started when we left the other software and changed to this software. Just when that was I don't know but as I said Matt might if you can get his attention. A PM would be the easiest or a post to the Admin Help forum.

The count goes on only while you are active on the forums I think. It is perhaps 15 or 30 minutes or some such that if you go without moving data it considers you no longer here and even if you have a window open the count on time stops I think. So even if you select stay logged in all the time and leave a window open to the forums it won't keep your time going 24-7.

If you think I've got a lot of time online check out Tim aka quickdtoo. He is in first place in time on line and number of posts made both. He is one of the handi holics in fact I reckon he is the head handi holic

There's no question he's the champ, 181 d + 16 h = 4,360 hours; dats alotta meatballs Poppa! It's just because of the medium keeping a record that can be accessed that we get a figure we're surprised with. I'd guess that if people could view a count of many everyday activities, such as time spent in conversation, driving, reading, etc., covering a ten yr. period, that most of us would be surprised by the numbers.

The really amazing thing about Tim is he has only been with us since May 15, 2004 yet has made 24628 posts or (14.228 per day) so far.

I think Tim's addiction is to both his guns and his posting.

Have you seen the pics of his humongulous collection of H&R/NEF rifles?  :o

I thought I had it bad, with ~10 cannons.

That does make it even more astounding; I didn't check quickdtoo's start date, and by just looking at his numbers I jumped to the conclusion that he had been active since the opening of the very first forum. Graybeard, someday I may absorb the wisdom that the old adage "never assume", is in actuality, advice that should be heeded.
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.
