Differentiating .243 Handi Models
« on: February 06, 2009, 04:38:38 PM »
I'm going to a local gunshop to look at a used handi-rifle they have in stock.  The gun is a .43 with an NN serial number.  I'm not very familiar with Handi rifles.  How can I tell if the rifle at the store is an ultra-lite (which i've read may be less than accurate))?  Thanks

The Superlight has a 20" barrel, unless it's been cut off, the standard barrel is 22", bull barrel will be 22" or 24". Muzzle diameters are listed in the FAQs too.

Thanks for the info. Just a few clarificaions though. The barrel length is measured from the tip of the barrel to where?  Also, Can somene confirm for me that an NN serial number is OK for the barrel accessory program.  I know its right at the cut-off..I just want to make sure that it will be OK for future barrels thanks.

Entire length, end to end. NN was made in 1999 which qualifies for any centerfire rifle barrel, build year info can be found in the FAQs.  ;)
