So, yo'all like big bullets and recoil huh...
« on: February 04, 2009, 11:32:29 AM »
How about a NEF 12USH, "slightly" reworked to fire a modified 50BMG case and a 750Gr slug at 2100Fps?

Its called the 12GA from hell... Its got a couple really long threads on a couple other forums.

http://bbs.shootingsportsman.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=28232&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=197214

You will have to "google" the other sites for yourself. But "12 Ga from hell - WOW" should get you there.

A good friend of mine just mentioned this to me. I haven't read it all but WOW.... Its not my cup of tea, but thought some of you guys might like to read...

Ya , its been talked about here too , they used the 12ga Ultra Slug Hunter for the testing if I remember correctly , not sure what you would hunt with it other than paper , not enough shots for dangerous game like cape buff and too much recoil for more than 1 shot anyhow .  ;D

:o That would be interesting.  But will the slug hold up?  Now some sort of saboted jacketed number.  Maybe a sabot for the .510bmg bullets to fit a 12ga chamber.  Never mind.  In an 10 pound gun.  Sorry No way!  The 50 BMG is only 300fps faster right? OOOUUUCCCHHH!

DP, Richard has already got the flu.  Last I heard, both he and Tyke were doggie paddling somewhere off the Bahamas.

Does anyone know if they make a shoulder prothesis??  We could all be charitable and order up a couple.  But,........ya gotta love those idiots ;)

The thread with the most activity is undoubtedly over here, I post on AR a lot-

Max loads for 750 grainers are well over 3000 fps.
