new stock
« on: February 04, 2009, 06:24:34 AM »
I have a synthetic handi in 22 hornet. Today I just received my new choate stock to put on , but for the life of me I can not get the bolt out of the old stock.( to take it apart) Does anyone know what size socket the stock bolt takes??? 9/16"seems to big, 13mm is too small and 14 mm does seem to fit either. Is there a certain knack for getting the old stock off?

Thanks

As stated in the FAQs, the stock bolt has a 9/16" head, a 14mm socket will work too, but the synthetic stock doesn't allow much room on the side of the bolt head, so a thin wall socket will be needed.  ;)
