Don't forget to take your calipers. Your old one may fit in a golf ball mortar?  Good luck and hurry back.

Hope all is well Doug . :)

At least you'll be able to get that knee broke in for the Great Montana Model Cannon Shoot .

New knees are cool, especially compared to the old ones.

Sorry, but we just don't have slobbering love affairs with ANY moderators, so the best we can do is to NOT insist that you hike all the way out there to 325 yards when you claim to have hit one of those Montana Prairie Mice or whatever they are that you hunt up there and hold it up so we can see it.  We will take your word for it!

Get well soon!!

DD is a former Marine IIRC ,once he knocks the burrs off that new knee and gets the zirk fittings greased, I would expect he and I will jog on down to the 400 yd line and back to pick up golf balls for yous guys  :) ....all day long .

I may decide not to spoil his fun and let him do it all himself ....as not to be a killjoy :D maybe just ride in his wheelbarrow and help him pick up GB's , then ride back with the barrel O balls ........

Semper Fi ! Doug Get well QUICK

Did you mark the correct knee with "THIS ONE" in sharpie ?

I'm home. It's 139 miles from The hospital in Kalispell to my house in Cut BanK. There are 11,285 pot holes between my my house and the hospital, and my wife did not miss a single one. The pain pill the hospital gave me was only good for 75...a gripping Marine is a happy Marine~

Ok, no more gripes! You survived the surgery, and more importantly, the ride home, so relax, get well, and hope to see you at the Montana Model Cannon Shoot come August! BoomLover

Douglas,

     Welcome back!

What are you told about recovery? Seems like the prognosis gets better every year. If your pain pills seem to be getting anemic, a can of Budweiser will wake them right up.

Dang, what's happening to me is all Doug's fault!  I must be having sympathy pains.  I don't know which knee he had "done" but about 3-4 days ago my left one kind of suddenly got unstable and can't be held in position if I want to stand straight, very painful if you try that or bend it much. Now on crutches, going in for x-rays tomorrow.

So Doug, I'm feelin' your pain!  Please get well very soon so the pain here will go away!

They recommend a Walker over crutches for recovery.  I walked up the stairs yesterday and haven't looked back...okay so I went down the stairs and back up and laid down this afternoon for a nap.

As much as I am getting around I find it hard to beleive it was just five days ago I had surgery. I'm not real active yet, but I ain't bed bound either.

The color of my leg, from hip to heel however could rival the finest color case on your favorite old single shot rifle.
