I guess you have a Raging Bull 454. You don't necessarily need another cylinder to shoot 45 Colt. Freedom Arms recommends it on their guns because of the tight tolerences and the possiblity of fouling ahead of the 45 Colt case. In extreme circumstances there can also be erosion ahead of the case mouth that could cause extraction problems. If you want to shoot 45 Colt cartridges (I'm assuming you want to practice and save wear and tear on you hand and pocket book), factory or medium loaded 45 Colt cartridges will fill the bill. Just be sure to clean the cylinder squeaky clean before loading the big brother version. At normal velocities, you shouldn't get any appreciable erosion, even after 10,000 rounds.
