I prepped 100 45C cases today for some FTX bullets. I used some purty virgin nickle Rem/Peters cases.

I forgot that the 250Gr FTX's don't have canalures. I guess that they where designed for the 45 SoCom. Being its an auto it must taper crimp. Anyway, I mounted my C&H canalure tool and calculated where I wanted the canalure. All of these weigh 250Gr.

I put it on so the bullet is only in the case about as far as a 200Gr would seat. I checked my gages and the chamber on the handi. Now this will never work in my revolvers or levers. its strictly a SS proposition. here is a couple pics:


The tool works very nice and easy. Just a bit of pressure and turn the crank. I took a little video of it in operation.


Tomarow, I'll finish the canalures and charge and seat all the bullets.
