Thanks, LT, very interesting.  I've fired a .600 in a Farquarson single shot rifle ,that I  think weighted about the same as that revolver, and one shot was enough for me but interesting all the same.

I have shot a 50 cal that shot 750 gr bullets.  It was made off a T/C frame.  It actually picked up a 60lb silhouette ram at 200 meters and set it down about 5 feet back. 

I can feel the pain generated by this brute!!!

I would imagine this would be a backup gun only used in emergencies, like those times between being in the mouth of a hippo and before being swallowed.  However, being eaten by a hippo might be slightly less painful

I know that this is made in Europe, but would it even be legal in this country?  I recall some talk a while back about .50 being the largest bullet we could use here.

As recoil averse as I am becoming I am flinching just thinking about it.

Destructive to who, the intended target, the user, or both? 

I wounder if someone makes an IWB holster for that thing?

There are a few cartridges that get exceptions for sporting purposes.  For instance, I'm fairly sure that if you had a desire for a .600 Nitro Express, you wouldn't need to bother with registering it as a DD.
