Gun Show Coup

We had a local gun show today, they lined up another to beat the swearing in of our new president, and got a pretty good buy.  4 scopes laying on a table with no price on them, all fixed power with 20mm objectives.  Since I like those for levers and Handi's, I stop to look and there are 2 Weaver K 2.5s one older one and a new one, a B&L made in Japan and a Redfield Bever Cub.  With the newer K 2.5 in hand, I asked how much.  The guy said "$15 for that one and $10 each for the other 3. :o  Knees were shakin', sweat was startin' as I asked if he would take $40 for all 4.  As soon as I heard the Y, I was in my pocket and had the money in his hand as he said, ES. ;D   Sometimes it pays to go the last few hours of the show!  Also got 2 nylon holsters and a nice leather paddle holster for a ten dollar bill on the way to the door.  DP

Way to  go,I  picked up a really nice , clean  MBR at the show we had here on the 2nd of Jan/Hope this finds you and yours well.  Oh by the way go to the CZ shotgun/Rifle forum, and take a look at my present.   Doug.

Happy 19th Pete and Patty.  Well, thats at least 3 sainted women hooked up with us twisted Handiholics for sure.  My girl, Patty and Cheri.  Bet there is a few more out there putting up with our little "problem". :D Sure glad I got my mate, she makes everything easier.  Third time is a charm for this old boy. ;)  DP

Good lick there DP!  I love those old scopes, especially the Weavers!  I got 2 from a VERY generous member here that have places of honor on 2 of my "special" rifles!

Make that 4 Sainted Women!  It'll be 18 for Kathie and me February 14th.  I got the Ruger SBH Bisley Hunter from her and she gets the puppy of her choice from me!

DP, it took me 50 years to find this woman, and she's a hell of a one.  She can outrun me, outshoot me, throws knives and tomahawks better, cooks better..........and, ....why I don't know.......not only puts up with me,... but loves me.  She even likes 12 or so rifles and pistols hanging over her bed.  (Ready service, not in the safe).  Now that I think about it, more than half are hers. :D  

It took more than one of us, more than one time around, to find the right one.  Just thank God we did!!

I'm glad to hear I have company in that.

Another woman that buys guns for her guy!  How cool is that?  Happy 18th next month to you and Kathie.  I keep telling our older kids to look for a good match, not just the one who makes ya hot. :-*  I know, it didn't work for me either, had to do it the hard way instead of listening to my folks. :-[   Gonna put a scope on the Hunter Richard?  DP
